Easy Valentine’s Day Ideas Can Build a Lasting Relationship

  • February 1, 2012 at 1:10 pm

Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching. Aside from anniversaries, it's the one day a year that is devoted to lovers. Many couples enjoy more conventional dates, for example dinner and a production, but what are some other Valentine’s Day ideas for those who are on the lookout for a rather more unique experience? Fortunately , there are plenty of options that will make this special day even more memorable.

Stargazing

What could possibly be more romantic than looking at the stars with your lover? Grab a map of the constellations, a blanket and a picnic dinner and savour a night of stargazing. Don’t forget the drinks!

Make a Picture Collage

This is a great idea for nearly all couples. Get a nice frame and gather up your favourite footage of the 2 of you, with some craft supplies, and spend the evening making a collage. This is excellent way to stroll down memory lane, while also making a new Valentine’s Day memory.

Spend the Day in Bed

Switch off the phones, stock up on DVD’s and spend the day cuddled up in bed with your companion. Start with breakfast in bed, then either order in for lunch and dinner, or prepare a meal together before retreating back to the covers.

Plan a Spa Day for 2

Enjoy a day of pampering and relaxation for 2 at a day spa. Get massages, facials, manicures, mud wraps and other magnificent services to ensure a Valentine’s Day you may both remember for many years to come.

Write a Love Letter

Love letters are a tried and tested way to make your partner feel special. Get some scented stationary, or lightly spray it with your partner’s fave perfume or cologne. Detail all the stuff you adore about your other half, and feel free to really pour your heart out on paper. Instead of using an envelope, roll up the letter like a scroll and tie it with a ribbon. Leave it on your partner’s pillow so it’s the very first thing they see on the morning of Valentine’s Day, and be assured this gift will be cherished for good.

Write a Poem or Song

For the poets and tunesmiths out there, this should be a straightforward task. Making a song or poem for your important other is incredibly romantic. For those that are not wordsmiths or musicians, consider finding a poem that best describes how you are feeling and framing it for your better half.

Make a “Mixtape”

Update the conventional mixtape by compiling your partner’s fave songs and burning them onto a CD. Another possibility is to load up a mp3 player with their fave artists and songs. This sweet and considerate gift will certainly be liked, and will let your partner know just how much you care.

Make a Hand-crafted Gift or Card

Everybody is literally capable of making a hand-crafted card, and it's a gift that most everyone can enjoy. Even if you can’t draw that well, remember that it’s the thought that counts. And if crafting is your robust suit, get busy making the one that you love an original present they will treasure for a whole life.

Standard dinner dates are just OK, but with these Valentine’s Day ideas at your disposal, you are sure to make this the most romantic and noteworthy Valentine’s Day of your lives.
