I am thankful for the opportunity. I feel that I’m not ready yet, but since the opportunity is here I will just have to rise to the challenge. not everyone is given this chance, so I’ll do my best. Being a big star is obviously a dream, but it’s not only that. I’d like to become a really good actor so that’s foremost on my mind.

Your movie Tween Academy: Class of 2011 was a commercial success making more money than your rival movie from the other network. what can you say about that?

I’m very happy that the movie did well. We’re all thankful that the fans supported us and we’re looking forward to completing the sequel, which is now in production. About it making more than our rival movie, it didn’t matter. We’re just happy ours was accepted by the public and we hope that this will also lead to more youth-oriented films being shown on the big screen.

Are you open to being paired with other young actors?

Yes. I don’t have to be necessarily paired with Joshua in any project. I would welcome the opportunity to work with other actors. at some point, both Joshua and I will have to outgrow this love team and will need to explore new things for our career. So, yes.

You started at such a young age, do you feel you’ve had the chance to enjoy your childhood?

In the beginning it all felt like play anyway, so I thought I still had that in my life. It’s only now that I am beginning to think of it as work.

Zoren is not entirely new at directing, having been behind the camera in two TV shows, but this is the first time he’s going to direct a film and a challenging one at that — the movie is inspired by the award-winning 1981 film Salome, directed by Laurice Guillen.

Oscar-bound

It’s one of Domingo’s best films and it was a commercial success. Hope the film makes the cut.
