REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Noetix Corp., a world-class provider of business intelligence (BI) software and services for enterprise applications, today announced it has been included in the annual “100 best Companies to Work For” listing by Seattle Business magazine for the fifth consecutive year. Noetix was ranked 24 out of 100 small businesses with under 100 employees in the State of Washington.

“People might hire on because of the cool technology and products Noetix develops, but they stay because of the great people and work environment.”

“Noetix and the other companies on our list take pride in investing and reinvesting in human capital, knowing that satisfied employees are motivated employees,” said Leslie Helm, editor of Seattle Business magazine.

Two Noetix employee committees, the Green Committee and Events Committee, have played an important role in helping to set the company apart. the Green Committee has transformed many areas of the business (influencing Noetix employees’ work and home behaviors) by providing ongoing education including a ”green” message board with helpful tips, resources, and reminders and by working to reduce waste throughout the entire company.

the Events Committee plans regular activities throughout the year which in the past has included everything from a Masquerade Ball and Pumpkin Carving contests to the Noetix Open, a putt-putt golf course that wound its way around the halls of the office. Valentine’s Day is celebrated with what Noetix calls “treat-fairying,” leaving candy, puzzles, and fun trinkets on employees’ desks for them to find when they come in to work. in addition, Noetix has had numerous scavenger hunts, Movie Day (back-to-back episodes of “The Office” are a favorite), and random fun activities (NERF – Noetix Employee Random Fun).

Other perks for employees include flex-hours, telecommuting, ergonomic workspaces, a very casual dress code, and Friday Foosball tournaments. in addition, special award programs have been established for top performers for different departments within the company. for example, the Sales Samurai (a non-Sales employee that went above and beyond to help the Sales team), the World of difference Award (an award given by Professional Services to someone outside their group), Engineering Performance Awards, Consulting Performance Awards, and quarterly Rock Star Awards (an award anyone is eligible to receive in recognition for excellent performance specific to an accomplishment/project that goes above and beyond the person’s normal job duties).

“Our company’s culture is the foundation for Noetix’s success and its high employee retention rate over the years,” said CEO Morris Beton. “People might hire on because of the cool technology and products Noetix develops, but they stay because of the great people and work environment.”
