Korean Valentine’s Day

  • February 17, 2010 at 7:26 am

A quick look into how Valentine’s day is celebrated in South Korea. It’s part of a triple day event. First, on February 14th, girls give boys in their classes (or work) chocolate. Second, on March 14th, White Day, boys reciprocate by giving candy gifts. Finally, on April 14th, Black Day is celebrated. On this day, if one received no gifts on Valentine’s Day or White day, they are to go to a restaurant and order jajangmyeon (black noodles) and mourn their single lives. How are you going to celebrate Valentine’s Day?
